Mark O’Day sunglasses are made of organic cellulose acetate. Cellulose acetate is made from processed wood pulp and cotton. Coming from wood pulp means that, unlike most man-made fibres, it comes from a renewable resource widely present in nature, making it 100% recyclable and biodegradable.
Most of the sunglasses of the optical market are made with regular acetate or polycarbonate (100% plastic). Biodegradable acetate offers the opportunity to use a non-plastic material, more flexible and fully made by renewable content.
